Happy Valentines day to all first off.

Sorry about the site issues...We had a driver go down in the Server and Tiger spent most of the day and night getting it fixed and the site back up and running.

Yeah it was acting up at first and wasnt recovering like it was supposed to...then Tiger discovered the driver issue.

Maybe this will fix some of the problems we were having. The site seems very fast today but maybe it's me. It was a shock to have the browser completely deny the link.

We had a drive failure. I replaced the drive and got everything back up as quickly as possible. Probably going to buy some new drives so it doesn't happen again asap.

what sofware did u use to recover the data i had a 1tb spit it on me and was curious

The server probably uses a mirrored raid set up so all data is in two places at once just in case a drive dies.

Drive didn't die completely between the old drive and the backup is how I get everything back.

It's very tough to do it but yes I do try very hard to not have that happen.

The problem a few days ago was a drive failure which is probably why there might have been a small amount of data loss. I moved everything over to a new setup last night and there shouldn't have been any posts loss because I redirected the old server to the new one once the transfer was done. That being said its possible some posts were made while the transfer was in process that didn't get moved over. Sucks but there is no way to stop it unless I turned everything off while the transfer was in process which would mean the site would be completely unavailable for a while during the transfer.
