Both the same, they've always been there for me but in different way.

Neither. Both have passed. But was not close to either of them growing up. They were divorced and both had major issues.

On the flip side, my daughters are both closer to me than their mother, but then their mother went a bit psycho after our divorce. That may be due to the fact that they both had already decided before the divorce, while separated, to stay with me. In my youngest's words to her mother on the phone "You are selfish, self indulgent, and irresponsible". Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'm closer with my dad. My mom and I were never close.. she was extremely controlling and a hypocrite while my dad gave me my freedom and was honest with me through everything. My mom lied a lot.

Growing up I didn't get along with either, yeah I know big surprise a rebellious teen male didn't like his parents. Once I moved out of the house me and my mom became friends. We would meet for breakfast at least once a week and talk like adults, not mother son. If it wasn't for work and sports me and dad would have nothing to talk about.
