As for the NFL OT change...I don't watch NFL down here in deepest, darkest Africa.
Just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on this? Plus, no one seems to ever have used this forum...heh.

I think they should leave it the way it is. If your defense doesn't stop them in over time. Then you deserve to loss. I think it's
more exciting that way.
I think it's dumb. Just keep it how it was. It's only during playoffs anyway.
Yeah shouldn't change the OT rules, thought it was fine how it was
Stupid that it's not both playoffs and regular season
I have no idea what you are talking about, is this that game that is a bit like rugby but with body armour?
Anyway sound like what ever they are changing is not a good idea.

NFL overtime rules should be kept the way they are--and they should be applied to the college level too.
I agree,Brigit. Since college football is basically an unpaid minor league for the NFL,the rules should be the same.Just leave the OT rules alone.
I disagree, I think there should be a sealed bid by both coaches. for example in a game going to over time, both coaches write down on a piece of paper where they can score from. furthest away gets it, and whoever can score first. think about all the strategy and second guessing that would go into it. win or lose there would always be a great discussion.
I think both teams should have an opportunity to score just as they do in college. Although I think they should both have to kick off if they can't move the ball then the game end in a tie.
I guess I've been buried somewhere and wasn't aware of any change?
So now my questions are.
1. What are the changes?
2. When do they go into affect?
If the team that receives the kick-off in OT scores a touchdown, they win. But, if they only score a field goal, the other team gets a possession. If the second team scores a touchdown, they win, but a field goal to tie means they go back to the old sudden death rules. For now, the new rule is only for the post season.
To introduce it for the post season only is stupid.
At least during the regular season the teams would get the hang of it.
Saying that, I can understand why they have introduced it, too many teams are simply getting into field goal range and leaving it to the kicker, whereas this way ot could get interesting.
I also heard last week that the NFL are coming down on late tackles, this could make life interesting for the rougher players around.
They need to make the penalties tougher for late hits--also for unnecessary hits

Thank you Brigit... My knees are a prime example ... and another reason I walk funny...
Weebles wobble but they don't fall down ... too often
Just the Rantings of a Horny Old man
Well they are good cause they make the ot longerbut sometimes not. Also good cause before if your at the twenty five just kick and you win now it's go full or the others get one chance before the win bad cause longer games but I think that overall good changes
I think field goals should be lowered to two points. As far as overtime goes, I think they should leave it as it is--or was; ie, the first team that scores wins
I disagree on both but two points is for safeties and two is WAY too low
