Engaged and looking forward to being married! But, I've been single for 48 years and sexually very active for most of them (I won't say how many!) and have enjoyed it. But, now that I've met my perfect mate and have fallen completely in love with him and he with me, it feels perfect to be with him every day. I do so love waking up in the morning next to him and having him wake up when I have him in my mouth!

Well, try, try, try again... :D Sooner or later, Nature's gonna stamp/validate our Parenthood licenses. ;)
We've spent time around our friends who have kids, instead of avoiding them, to get some time 'in the trenches'...and because we enjoy our friend's company.
Earaches, teething, colds, flus, Terrible-Twos, and upset tummies...all the sheer unpleasant Reality of raising kids.
It ain't easy, but the little things like the hugs, the bedtime stories, trimming crusts off bread--especially toast, the way they grip fingers as 'holding your hand' when outside the home as a 'safety-line', also looking for monsters before lights out and such--so worth it.
Kids are kids no matter the era/decade/age. I had my Dad check for 'monsters' too...under the bed, outside the window and in the closet. I always liked the crusts on my bread though. :D
I also remember the rest of my own childhood quite well, and I want to give that to someone, that feeling of safety, security, and innocent happiness. It wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good because my folks cared.

I'm just curious to how many people here are married? As I was just recently wed on the 12th, when I actually look at it not too much in my life has changed besides the gold band that now adorns my left ring finger, and the disappointed looks that women that come into the store I work with that generally flirt with me now give me that they see it. Something I've learned is that this ring makes a lot of people thing "off limits" but that's quite the contrary I've found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with it doesn't mean that they are the only person I can have sex with. Something that we decided was not going to be true. Monogamist sexual relationships are not something either of us, were real fans of when we met.

I have never found my wedding ring to be an off limits sign and okay I have been wed this time for over 32 years my first ending in divorce after 10years... I found that some women love the thought of being able to get one of their sisters hubbies to cheat with them... Infact one of my friends had a wedding ring he used though he was never married and as bait it really did seem to work just goes to show some out there are the right fish for what ever you throw out.... Only my wifes distant cousin and supposedly best friend seemed really intent on getting into bed with me but thankfully she moved away before the temptation got really too much hehehehe

I've noticed these days people seem to see a wedding band as a 'challenge' more than a 'Taken' signal. It's gotten so bad on two Girl's Night's occasions I simply removed it and played 'single'.
Anyone else have similar experiences???

On my second marriage, my first one lasted 5 weeks short of 17 years when my first wife killed herself, she had problems and demons that no one could help her overcome.
Been married now to my second wife for almost 4 years, she's wonderful, I have a good feeling that this is a keeper.

I love snowboarding and I have a favourite resort. So do I settle for my favourite or use other resorts as well. SEx is the same! If you enjoy giving and receiving physical pleasure. I can see no wrong with using other resorts or have sex with others.
